Job Description – Business Analyst- Insurance


Role Overview:

The Business Analyst will be at the forefront of driving customer engagement and requirement gathering for application development specifically tailored for the Insurance domain. This role not only demands a deep understanding of the Insurance sector but also an ability to travel globally at short notice, based on project requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

1.     Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control Business Analysis activities on projects within agreed cost, time and quality

2.     Create and present compelling business cases to justify solution value and establish approval, funding and prioritization

3.     Collaborate with extended teams to deliver organizational effectiveness for clients by transforming their business processes. Drive client engagement, understanding their requirements, and ensuring the deliverables align with their expectations.

4.     Conceptualise the automation, standardisation as per best practices and risk management framework aligned to client’s business.

5.     Evangelise the To-Be state, deliver process improvements, identify, and deploy analytics, intelligent automation and solutions centred around Insurance Sales, Underwriting, Claims, Servicing, Digital Banking Solutions product suite.

6.     Work closely with internal stakeholders and client teams to track and monitor the technology integration and project deliverables.

7.     Manage quality and facilitate continuous improvement of proposed state by recommending and analysing the Time-Motion, waste and bottleneck analysis etc.

8.     Designing Kaizen and Kanban techniques along with Business consultant

9.     Requirement Gathering: Act as a bridge between the client and the technical team, ensuring all business requirements are translated into actionable items.

10.  Insurance Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of underwriting, claims, insurance sales, and servicing processes across various lines of business.

11.  Global Interaction: Willingness to travel abroad at short notice to engage with global clients and understand their requirements.

12.  Workshop Facilitation: Lead strategic vision setting workshops, engaging leadership teams both from Neutrinos and the client side.

13.  Documentation: Adept at using business analysis tools and creating comprehensive requirement documentation, including BPMN 2.0 notations, User stories, and epics.

14.  Communication: Engage and hold conversations with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth project flow and clear communication at all levels.


Skill Set (Technical and Soft skills)

1.     Agile and Waterfall project experience. Good understanding and experience in various Agile frameworks

2.     Understanding of systems engineering concepts and data/process analysis and modelling

3.     Deep industry knowledge and BA practice

4.     Strong in strategic thinking and planning as well as operational execution.

5.     Experience in using tools such as JIRA, FIGMA, wireframing applications and others

6.     Familiarity with low code application projects will be considered an added advantage.

7.     Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence stakeholders to drive results.

8.     Ability to engage meaningfully with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

9.     Good to have international experience


Expected Educational Qualification

●      Graduates/Postgraduates from Tier 1 institutes  

●      Must have – Certified in (1 or more) Business Improvement Methodologies – Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen; Business Analysis, Project Management, Design Thinking
